Annabelle Boyes MBE, Receiver General and Canon Treasurer of Winchester Cathedral, has been announced as the guest speaker at the Trust’s AGM. The AGM will take place at 6.45pm on Tuesday, 1st October 2019 at St Peter’s Pastoral Centre, Jewry Street, Winchester SO23 8RY. All members are welcome. After the business items, Annabelle will give a talk on the Cathedral and its wider role in the City.
Annabelle has overall delegated responsibility for the day-to-day non-liturgical operational running of the Cathedral, including its administration, finances and commercial activities.
Annabelle joined the Cathedral in 2008 having held Executive Board appointments in the not for profit Sector, as an Executive Director for Historic Royal Palaces and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard for over 15 years, and has built up a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the sensitive balance between commerciality and charitable objectives.
Annabelle’s passion for heritage is demonstrated through her appointment as Project Director and Lead for the Cathedral’s Heritage Lottery project for which she masterminded a substantial national grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund – the recently opened Kings and Scribes, The Birth of a Nation exhibition.
AGM papers will be sent out in the September issue of TrustNews.
